Two

Sometimes the two's can be terrible.  But this week my two year old has been terrific.  We were sitting in church on Sunday, it was so quiet that you could have heard a pin drop.  My piggy-tailed girl hops off her seat, faces our pew, strikes a dance pose and starts singing, "Ahhhh, Freak Out!"("Le Freak" by Chic) Her rendition included tongue clicking and facials. I wanted to laugh so hard.  I pulled her out into the hall and then I laughed.  Kids are awesome!

Here are the words to the song in case you want to start your own singing and dancing party.

Aaahh Freak out!

Le Freak, C'est Chic
Freak out!
Aaahh Freak out!
Le Freak, C'est Chic
Freak out!
Aaahh Freak out!
Le Freak, C'est Chic
Freak out!
Aaahh Freak out!
Le Freak, C'est Chic
Freak out!

Have you heard about the new dance craze?
Listen to us, I'm sure you'll be amazed
Big fun to be had by everyone
It's up to you, It surely can be done
Young and old are doing it, I'm told
Just one try, and you too will be sold
It's called Le Freak! They're doing it night and day
Allow us, we'll show you the way

(chorus)

All that pressure got you down
Has your head spinning all around
Feel the rhythm, check the ride
Come on along and have a real good time
Like the days of stopping at the Savoy
Now we freak, oh what a joy
Just come on down, two fifty four
Find a spot out on the floor

(chorus)

Now Freak!
I said Freak!
Now Freak!

All that pressure got you down
Has your head spinning all around
Feel the rhythm, check the ride
Come on along and have a real good time
Like the days of stopping at the Savoy
Now we freak, oh what a joy
Just come on down, two fifty four
Find a spot out on the floor

(chorus) Photobucket

  2. That is great. And I'm sure that she brought the Spirit or at least the spirit to the meeting!

  3. I love things like that. It's one thing when they are just noisy. It's quite another when they can make you laugh while they do it.

I just popped on your blog and read all about your process and I am so excited for you. I remember you being sick with Owen but I didn't realize it was so bad. Good luck. Any mother would be lucky to share their child with you and your amazing family.
